Ahead of Elections: General Rank Granted, Pashinyan Attempts to Bribe Police Chief
On April 10, an extended session of the police collegium will be held after a significant hiatus. It seems normal for such a session to be expanded, given the many pressing issues, from the dismantling of the police force to the establishment of a Soros-aligned patrol service, as well as ongoing internal disturbances within the system.
For instance, there is currently confusion within the police about why a massive amount of money is being spent on building bio-toilets for police officers serving abroad, or who will supply food to them, and why it is specifically that company. There are many questions, but almost no answers.
However, according to information from 168.am, the purpose of the extended police collegium session is entirely different. It turns out that the session scheduled for April 10 and the gathering of high-ranking police officials in one place has one objective: to confer the rank of Police Major General to Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan. It is said that the police chief is currently in preparations; the general's uniform is being tailored.
If Nikol Pashinyan thinks that he can bribe the police chief in this manner ahead of the upcoming elections, it is hardly a serious guarantee. It is worth recalling that former police chief Valery Osipyan was also granted this rank, but this did not prevent him from leaving Nikol Pashinyan's team at a critical time.
