Weightlifter Rafik Harutyunyan Sets European Youth Record
Member of the men's weightlifting team, 81 kg category Rafik Harutyunyan has won the B group at the European Championship in Moscow with a total lift of 346 kg, reports armsport.am.
The Armenian weightlifter also set a European youth record in the clean and jerk, achieving a result of 196 kg. It will be determined after the completion of the A group competitions where Rafik Harutyunyan will place in the final standings.
It is worth noting that the European Championship serves as a qualifying event for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
