Turkey Announces Plans for Azerbaijani Military Modernization

Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has announced the initiation of the modernization process for the Azerbaijani army during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov. Information regarding this has been circulated on the internet.

“In accordance with the requirements of the time and the further joint activities of the armed forces of the two countries, the implementation process of the 'roadmap' for the modernization and restructuring of the Azerbaijani army has been developed and commenced,” he stated.
