Sputnik Not Registered in Armenia, Yet Pashinyan Tells Putin It Is: Vahe Minasian
Sputnik is not registered in Armenia, yet Prime Minister Pashinyan tells Putin it is. This was stated by Vahe Minasian, the former head of the Pharmacy Department of the Health and Labor Inspection, on his Facebook page.
“Without politics and without a drop of anti-vaccine propaganda towards the vaccine, my observation is purely professional. Is it really possible to be so out of touch with reality and devalue the state registration of a drug in a country, which is the foundation for the safe circulation of drugs from production and import to application and disposal?”
“Now to the core issue: a specific question is posed to the Prime Minister by Putin, ‘Is Sputnik already registered in Armenia?’ The Prime Minister responds, ‘Yes.’ However, IT IS NOT REGISTERED IN ARMENIA; I am no longer in office, but I officially declare this. And, by the way, to be honest, I must say that it is also possible to import a drug for state needs and in various other cases defined by the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Drugs, without state registration of the drug. Perhaps that would have been a more appropriate answer, but the response was different… unfortunately.”
“In any case, there are several options: Perhaps they reported incorrectly, and he answered incorrectly, but that is irrelevant now. Otherwise, it would be worse. Or there is a third option, which I lean towards more – no one had reported anything in advance, but in the heat of the moment he thought, ‘What is registration? What is it? Who cares? It’s probably registered, how could it not be?’ and he blurted out, ‘It’s Registered!!!’ I am sorry… and as for the one asking, he really knows what he is asking about… (By the way, according to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Drugs, the vaccine is also considered a drug).”
