I am confident that together, shoulder to shoulder, we can lift our country to its feet: the Prime Minister's message
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day.
“Dear mothers, daughters, sisters,
Dear women,
I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day.
For two consecutive years, we have been celebrating this holiday during a difficult period. First the pandemic, and then the war unleashed against Artsakh have kept us all in anxiety and sorrow. During this challenging time, you have managed to strengthen your families, your loved ones, and each other with your strength and energy, while remaining steadfast yourself, carrying the heavy burden of issues and difficulties—at home, on the battlefield, in healthcare institutions, in educational establishments, in every sphere of work and public life where you are active.
Dear mothers, I bow before you for the upbringing and education you provide to your children, who are the worthy citizens of our country. I express my special words of respect to the mothers, women, sisters, and daughters of our brothers who fell in the Artsakh wars. I understand that nothing can comfort you, but I am also sure that a strong, flourishing, confident, and developing homeland will be what heals your wounds.
I send comforting words to the mothers, women, daughters, and sisters of our captured compatriots: we have done and will do everything possible to bring our brothers back home. I sadly recall that among our captured compatriots, there is still a woman, and may my sorrow be turned into strength and courage for her and all of our captured compatriots to overcome this trial together.
Dear women,
I am confident that together, shoulder to shoulder, we can lift our country to its feet by working for a developing, thriving, and forward-looking Armenia and Artsakh. I am sure that no difficulty can overwhelm you. Our spirit of seeing our homeland prosperous, free, and happy will never yield.”
