Defense Ministry Confirms Resignation of Artur Hovhannisyan

Artur Hovhannisyan has been discharged from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia due to his own request. Hovhannisyan held the position of head of the education department within the main administration of personnel and military educational policy at the ministry. This was announced by the information and public relations department of the Ministry of Defense.

"Artur Hovhannisyan has been discharged at his own request," the ministry stated.

He was appointed to this position in July 2020. From March to July of the same year, he served as the head of the Command and Staff Faculty of the Military University named after V. Sargsyan. During the Armenian-Azerbaijani war from September 27 to November 9, 2020, he led the press briefings of the Armenian Unified Information Center.
