Gas Pipeline Damaged Due to Rockfall, Gas Supply to Village Stopped: Emergency Situation Ministry

On April 6, at 20:36, the Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a rockfall occurred on the section leading from the summer cottages of Nurnus village to the village spring, blocking the road on one side. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

“An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene. It has been determined that a rockfall has occurred, damaging the 100 mm diameter gas pipeline supplying the Nurnus community. The gas supply to the village of Nurnus has been halted. Police officers are conducting surveillance at the location,” the statement said.
