China Suspends All Flights from Turkey
The Civil Aviation Administration of China has decided to suspend all flights from Turkey operated by Turkish Airlines for one month, starting from April 19, in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.
On March 24, during a flight operated by the airline to China, COVID-19 test results for a total of 14 passengers returned positive, according to the news website Turizm Ajansi.
In recent weeks, there has been a sharp increase in the number of infections in Turkey, with 42,551 new cases reported in the last 24 hours and 193 fatalities.
China has also suspended flights from Rwanda and Ethiopia.
