Azerbaijanis Invade Road to Stepanakert, a Manifestation of Terrorism, Says Foreign Minister
The invasion of the road to Stepanakert by Azerbaijanis is yet another form of terrorism and barbarism, stated David Babayan, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, in an interview with Factinfo.
It is important to note that Azerbaijani military personnel bypassed a Russian peacekeeping checkpoint yesterday in the Shushi region and headed towards Stepanakert, leaving a note on the sign near the tank monument.
“Of course, we will take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from occurring. This is a significant blow not only to us but also to the peacekeepers, who will also take appropriate actions,” Babayan said.
Russian peacekeepers have recorded the violation of the tripartite obligations, evidenced by the note placed on the sign near the tank monument. However, it cannot be ruled out that there have been previous incidents that left no traces or that may occur, endangering the lives of the people in Artsakh. In response to this observation, Babayan stated, “To clarify this, we need to conduct a comprehensive investigation into all of this. It is hard to say whether this is the first incident or not. However, it is possible that such incidents may occur, and we must always be prepared.”
