President of Artsakh Holds Meeting on Internal Security Issues
On April 5, a meeting was held with the participation of law enforcement leaders at the residence of Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan to discuss several issues concerning the assurance of internal security in the Republic. This information was reported by the press office of the President of the Artsakh Republic.
The discussions focused on maintaining public order in the Republic, preventing crimes, and the rapid and effective response of law enforcement to public concerns. Leaders from law enforcement agencies presented reports related to recent instances of suicides and certain crimes involving the use of firearms registered in the Republic over the past months.
The President urged law enforcement officials to operate transparently and efficiently, remaining faithful to the letter of the law and improving the effectiveness of internal order maintenance efforts.
Additionally, issues regarding the security of settlements and roads that have found themselves in proximity to the frontline as a result of military operations were discussed. Based on the President's directive, works have commenced, for security reasons, to install night lighting systems in these settlements as well as on major inter-republican highways.
