The Topic of the Use of the 'Iskander' System Remains Relevant

The newspaper 'Hayots Ashkharh' reports that the issue of the use of the Russian 'Iskander' system during the 44-day war in Artsakh continues to be relevant. It should be noted that during the war, the question of 'Why was the Iskander not used?' was one of the most frequently discussed topics, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement, 'Why did the fired Iskander not explode, or did it explode, for example, at 10%?' became a regional scandal.

The fact is that the Russian side reacted very painfully to this statement, while Azerbaijan continues to escalate the situation. The Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency announced that during demining operations in the city of Shushi, two fragments of exploded missiles were discovered, despite the Russian announcement that the Iskander system was not used during the war.

Russian military expert Alexander Khramchikhin noted in an interview with 'Hayots Ashkharh' that Pashinyan generally does not understand what he is talking about when it comes to military issues. 'As for what Azerbaijan intends to achieve with this, I do not know; however, they are armed with Russian weapons and should not want to discredit them,' Khramchikhin said. He believes that the use of these missiles did not change the course of the war because civilized leadership with proper actions would have altered the course of the war.
