Six More Cows Missing from Shurnukh Community in Syunik Province, Says Mayor Hakob Arshakyan

Six more cows have gone missing from the Shurnukh community in Syunik Province. Due to fog, the cows wandered into an area under the control of Azerbaijanis and disappeared.

It is worth noting that back in mid-March, 13 cows belonging to one of the Shurnukh residents had also crossed into enemy-controlled territory. Armenian border guards and Russian peacekeepers were informed by the Azerbaijanis that they would return the animals once they were found, but no cows have been returned to date.

About three days ago, another six cows went missing. In an interview with 168.am, Shurnukh Mayor Hakob Arshakyan stated that there has been no update. “Well, our unscrupulous neighbors promised to return them once found, but there has been no news so far. So now, if you add 13 to 6, there are currently 19 cows missing. The six cows disappeared due to fog about three days ago,” noted Hakob Arshakyan.

He also emphasized that the enemy allowed the Armenian side to enter the area under their control only once to search for the cows, after which they prohibited access and stated that they would return the cows once found.
