Eggs Disappear from Yerevan Shops, Prices Spike Up to 230 Drams
Lilit A.
Eggs have completely disappeared from shops and supermarkets in Yerevan. This is reported by Mediaport.
“In anticipation of Easter, citizens have found themselves in a dire situation, as even purchasing 5 eggs has become a serious problem. It should be noted that the sharp increase in egg prices began about a month ago, when the price for one egg skyrocketed from 60-70 drams to 220-230 drams. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition announced that it is monitoring the market, and there were even instances of fines imposed, but the issue has not yet been resolved,” the report states.
