Russian Peacekeepers Deliver Humanitarian Aid to Taghavard Village in Artsakh

The Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh has facilitated the delivery of humanitarian aid provided by Russian public organizations and charitable foundations to Taghavard village in the Martuni region of Nagorno-Karabakh. “We communicate with the local population, connecting with the staff of the public reception and hotlines. Residents of Nagorno-Karabakh frequently voice the need for humanitarian assistance. Based on this, we liaise with district leaders, assess the needs of the local population, and provide the necessary help,” said Alexander Belov, an officer at the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

During the humanitarian operation, the Russian peacekeepers handed over folding beds, blankets, pillows, gas stoves for cooking, and other supplies to the residents of Taghavard on behalf of the organization “Russian Humanitarian Mission.” In addition to assisting families, a set for primary diagnosis was transferred to the village's medical assistant, which includes a blood pressure monitor, heart rate monitor, blood glucose meter, thermometers, and other medical equipment. The local school also received a range of artistic and educational materials.

It is worth noting that with the help of Russian peacekeepers, the restoration of vital engineering communications continues in areas affected by the war.
