How Can Turkey Be Our Friend? One Cannot Be Friends with a Dog – Sasun Mikayelyan
Komandos lived in a time in Armenia where we have always achieved victories. The victorious general saw this defeat and left this world, having borne the heavy loss of Shushi, because at a time when it seemed impossible to bring Shushi back, Komandos used his military knowledge to achieve our liberation of Shushi. But we do not lose hope.
Today, during the funeral of Artsakh hero Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, the president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union and My Step faction MP Sasun Mikayelyan said: “Komandos silently carried everything, but we naturally understand what emotions he had.”
When asked if he feels guilty about any issue, for example, the loss of Shushi, the Yerkrapah president responded: “I participated in three wars, and I was severely wounded in the first and third wars. During the liberation of Shushi, I was hit in 107 places. Shushi has been my city of dreams, and today we live in a difficult situation. People still do not understand what has happened, and we must manage to get out of this situation.”
Responding to a question regarding the government's talk of befriending Turkey, Sasun Mikayelyan stated: “The Turk is our age-old enemy. They may have some economic ties, but how can Turkey be our friend? This is impossible and has been historically proven, both at the end and beginning of the second millennium, even now. How can Turkey be our friend?”
Sasun Mikayelyan emphasized the need for caution: “One cannot be friends with a dog.”
