What is the Biography of Newly Appointed Minister of High-Tech Industry Hayk Chobanyan?

Education: In 1995, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Yerevan State University, being the first president of the student council at YSU. In 1999, he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia.

Work Experience:

• 1997: Editor of the economic section of the "State Servant's Supplement" magazine
• 1998-2001: Worked in the staff of the Government of Armenia, then in the Ministry of Justice of Armenia
• 2000-2003: Director of a publishing house
• 2003-2012: Head of the "Nork Information Analytical Center" closed joint-stock company under the Ministry of Labor and Social Issues of Armenia
• 2006-2013: Member of the Board of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE)
• 2012: Founded "Arpi Solar" company
• 2014-2017: Deputy Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises and Director of the "Uait" Expo company
• 2018: Founded "Freenergy" company
• 2019-2021: Governor of Tavush Province
• April 2, 2021: Appointed Minister of High-Tech Industry

Other Information:

From 1995 to 1997, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Since 2007, he has been a member of several local and international initiatives, particularly as a member of the council of the ICT Forum of South and Eastern Europe, a member of the committee supporting the private sector of the EU e-Government Development Center, a member of the National Council for ICT Development of Armenia, the national coordinator of the EU Digital Market Harmonization Program in Armenia, a member of the council of the Global ICT Alliance, and more.

Since 2012, he has headed the Tavush Spiritual Renaissance Foundation. He founded the Sustainable Energy Development Foundation in 2016. Since 2016, he has been the chairman of the Board of the "Real" School Foundation. Since 2017, he has been the president of the Association of Festivals of Armenia.
