Prosecutors Press Judge Danibekyan Unceasingly: Aram Vardevanyan

Attorney Aram Vardevanyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear colleagues, I will briefly clarify today’s court session:

  1. The prosecutors insist that Article 300.1 no longer exists.
  2. The prosecutors are pressuring Judge Danibekyan in every possible way to suspend the non-existent provision while appealing to the Constitutional Court, thereby allowing them to reclassify the act under Article 309, which relates to statutes of limitations and is unrelated to this case. This means they acknowledge they have no such authority under today’s law but argue that it doesn't matter if they VIOLATE the FUNCTIONING law to 'not overly displease the authorities.'
  3. The prosecutors view the Constitutional Court as a CREATOR OF NEW LAW, which has been clearly established in numerous decisions of the Constitutional Court, indicating that THIS NEVER happens.
  4. The prosecutors refused to appropriately acknowledge their CYNICAL unconstitutional behavior and tried, in a primitive manner, to shift the blame onto Anna Danibekyan once again. I truly regret this.
  5. Judge Danibekyan had to LEAVE to resolve the matter regarding the case's termination due to the prosecutors' request for presentation. The decision will be published on April 6 at 17:45.”
