Identities Revealed of Driver Killed in Tragic Car Accident, His Injured Wife, Two Minor Children, and Mercedes Driver

The identities of the individuals involved in a severe and tragic car accident that occurred on April 1 in the Ararat region have been revealed. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it has been established that the Mazda was driven by 40-year-old Mher Rashoyan, a resident of Aygavand village in the Ararat region, while the Mercedes was driven by Anushavan Manukyan from Surenavan village.

As a result of the crash, M. Rashoyan died on the spot. His passengers, his wife 39-year-old T. Shahverdyan, and their children, 5-year-old Aleks R. and 7-year-old Rubik R., were transported with injuries to the Ararat Medical Center, while the Mercedes driver A. Manukyan was taken to the Artashat Medical Center.

Earlier reports from the scene indicated that the accident, which occurred at approximately 17:30 on the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Meghri highway at kilometer marker 48, involved a head-on collision between a Mercedes and a Mazda. One person died at the scene, while four individuals were assisted by citizens in getting out of the Mazda and were transported to the Ararat hospital by both medical personnel and civilian vehicles.
