Speed Camera Damaged in Berdavan, Tavush Region; Police Initially Thought It Was an April Fool's Prank

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a resident of Ijevan, Ashot Matinyan, reported to the police department of Noyemberyan yesterday, April 1, stating that around 4:00 AM, he noticed that an unidentified person or persons had damaged the speed camera.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports, the speed camera was installed in the administrative area of the Berdavan community in Noyemberyan, and it belongs to “Elips GJ” LLC.

According to G. Shamshyan, the speed camera's two glass panels and filter were damaged. Police in the investigation unit of Noyemberyan are preparing materials regarding the incident.

When A. Matinyan reported to the police, officers initially thought he was making an April Fool's joke; however, upon arriving at the scene, they realized that the situation was serious.
