I Assert That the Iskander Fired: Movses Hakobyan

The path of the Commando should serve as a reminder to everyone that serving the homeland is an honor. This was stated today by the legendary commander Movses Hakobyan during a conversation with journalists at the memorial service for Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan.

He recounted that he had been comrades-in-arms with the Commando, having met during the war after the liberation of Shushi. “As a soldier, as a commander, we accepted him as a leader. His path serves as a reminder that serving the homeland should be an honor. The Commando has traveled that path with glory,” noted Hakobyan.

According to Hakobyan, Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan was very humble in human interactions: “Recently, he was a bit fragile. He was a very kind person.”

Addressing the regional blockade, Hakobyan emphasized that it is a complex process where the interests of Armenia must be taken into account. “If the blockade is implemented for the benefit of Azerbaijan and Turkey, it is unacceptable,” he stated.

Hakobyan also reaffirmed his claim that the Iskander had fired during the war, despite the assertion of the Russian presidential spokesman that this weapon did not fire during the conflict. Movses Hakobyan disagrees with the authorities' viewpoint that our perception of Turkey as an enemy country needs to be revised.
