VIDEO: Fatal Accident Leads to Murder

On the morning of March 23, a body with gunshot wounds was transported to the hospital from Tumanyan Street in Vanadzor. A 37-year-old man had been killed in the yard of his building.

The Lori Regional Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case regarding the murder. Officers from the Taroni division of the police have taken immediate measures to uncover the particularly serious crime with fresh evidence.

As a result of comprehensive investigative measures, several circumstances essential for the disclosure of the crime were identified, as well as the identity of the person suspected of committing the crime. Concrete evidence was obtained indicating that the murder was committed by a 35-year-old resident of Shahumyan village in Lori.

He had driven to the yard of the 37-year-old man's house in his "Toyota," called him out, and then shot him with a hunting rifle, unlawfully depriving him of life. The motive was revenge, specifically due to a car accident that occurred the previous day...

On March 22, the 37-year-old man had driven his "BMW" out of the traffic lane on the Vanadzor-Dilijan road, crashed into a tree, and fell into the adjacent gorge. As a result of the accident, one of the passengers, who was the cousin of the suspect's sister, died, prompting him to seek revenge on the driver.

As a result of explanation work, the suspect surrendered to the Lori Regional Investigative Committee on March 28. Subsequent measures led criminal investigators to discover the hidden weapon in one of the houses in Bazum village.

The 35-year-old man has been detained and transferred to a correctional facility.
