State Budget Tax Revenues Exceed Plan by Over 20 Billion Drams
In the first quarter of 2021, state budget tax revenues exceeded the plan by more than 20 billion drams. This information was reported by the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.
During January-March, the actual tax revenues collected by the State Revenue Committee amounted to 332.9 billion drams, while the government had set a target of 305 billion drams for the first quarter. This means that the established target was exceeded by 27.9 billion drams.
However, considering that the 332.9 billion drams also include revenues from stamp duties (5.6 billion drams), the potential adjustment to the first quarter’s planned target may amount to 310.6 billion drams. Therefore, the actual result of tax revenue excess will amount to 22.3 billion drams.
Compared to March of the previous year, in March 2021, there were 8 million 647 thousand more transactions recorded with cash register receipts and accounting documents, with a total difference of 122 billion drams compared to the previous year.
On a quarterly basis, the turnover difference amounts to 116.8 billion drams, with the number of transactions increasing by 6 million 200 thousand. In fact, the volume of trade turnover in the first quarter increased by over 8% compared to the same period last year.
