Putin Discusses Situation Around Nagorno-Karabakh with Aliyev

Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by the official website of the Kremlin.

The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed. It was noted with satisfaction that the situation is generally stable, and the ceasefire regime is being strictly observed.

Considering the negotiations in Baku with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, the process of regulating economic ties and transportation communications in the South Caucasus was discussed, in accordance with the declarations of the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan from November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021.

It was highlighted that, in this context, a positive assessment was given to the work of the trilateral working group operating under the co-chairmanship of the three countries.
