Investigation Underway to Determine Circumstances of 26-Year-Old Mother and 7-Year-Old Daughter's Death

On April 1, 2021, at 00:40, the emergency services of Arabkir received a report to the Kanaker-Zeytun division of the RA police regarding the discovery of the bodies of a mother and her daughter in one of the apartments on Rubinyants Street in Yerevan.

An investigative-operational group examined the scene and found the bodies of a 26-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter, with no signs of violence on their bodies. According to copies of medical certificates regarding their deaths, the cause was "Acute poisoning by carbon monoxide."

A criminal case has been initiated at the investigative division of the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 279 (Production or sale of goods that do not meet safety requirements) of the RA Criminal Code.

Forensic medical and forensic technical examinations have been ordered, and other investigative and procedural actions are underway to clarify all circumstances of the case.
