Cleaning Works of Yerevan Lake Have Started

The Yerevan Municipality's "Water Structures" company has commenced cleaning works at Yerevan Lake for this year. The main cause of the lake's pollution is household as well as construction waste that accumulates in the lake area due to the careless behavior of residents.

Yerevan Reservoir was constructed in 1970 on the Hrazdan River, near the former Nor Koghb village. It not only addresses the issue of irrigation water supply but also mitigates the microclimate of the city during the dry summer months, considering Yerevan's climatic conditions.
