Up to 500 Azerbaijani Soldiers May Have Died from Iskander Strike on Shushi: Wargonzo
Up to 500 Azerbaijani soldiers may have been killed as a result of the Iskander strike on Shushi. This information was reported by the @wargonzo Telegram channel, citing sources within the country's security structures.
“The strike targeted an object where the reconnaissance of the Artsakh Defense Army had detected a large number of enemy forces,” the report stated.
“During the shelling, which involved the use of the Iskander, around 500 Azerbaijani servicemen were in a basement. Some of them were mercenaries from pro-Turkish terrorist groups, although they possessed Azerbaijani documentation. The bodies of the deceased soldiers were reportedly removed from the rubble several days later. However, other figures may be present in official internal reports from Baku. Information regarding the killed militants, of course, does not complete the statistics. Nevertheless, there can be no doubts regarding the effectiveness of the Iskander missile systems, despite the outrageous statements from high-ranking Armenian officials. It remains unclear why the Iskander has only been used once,” the report continued.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijani media have reported today the discovery of fragments from two Iskander missiles in Shushi, referencing Azerbaijan's mine-clearing agency.
