Soldier Fined for Not Wearing Mask, Cannot Receive Monthly Allowance Until Fine is Paid – Nazaryan
Social issues have emerged for the families of soldiers and displaced persons from Artsakh in Armenia. The state does not always assist in overcoming these problems, and in some cases, the solutions provided are only temporary. Therefore, individuals and organizations are trying to support citizens.
Gegham Nazaryan, coordinator of the initiative "Truth for Generations," told "Factinfo" that they have documented issues that citizens cannot even imagine. He stated, "A soldier on leave is fined in the street for not wearing a mask, and a decision is made that until this fine is paid, he will not be able to receive a monthly allowance of 4000-5000 drams."
The coordinator also highlighted that there are cases where displaced families or those of soldiers face housing problems. Displaced families, for instance, face challenges in registering their children in medical institutions, while others encounter issues in receiving their benefits.
Families of fallen soldiers rarely approach the initiative with financial problems, but numerous issues persist for displaced citizens from Hadrut, Shushi, and Berdzor. "Many also have psychological issues, some even lack the will to live. In many cases, we ask clergy for help so that people can continue to live through their conversations," he added.
