Minister Denies Any Decision to Sell Yerevan State University Building

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Vahram Dumanyan, asserts that there is no decision to sell the Yerevan State University building.

“I deny the claim that there is a decision to sell any building. Regardless of whether the building is in ruins while housing a university or not, such a decision does not exist. Moreover, there cannot be a decision to sell the building of Yerevan State University. I insist,” stated the minister.

He questioned, “Why are we searching for something that does not exist and will not exist?”

“Calm down, dear people. The Yerevan State University building has already been turned by Facebook creatives into a night something or a daytime trading hall. It is inappropriate; this is a disrespectful attitude towards our state, our people, and future generations,” the minister added.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had mentioned the idea of selling university buildings in Yerevan and using the proceeds to build an academic town outside the capital.
