I Imagine What He Must Have Felt Living Until That Day When the City Would Surrender to the Enemy Without a Fight: Lapshin
Israeli blogger Alexey Lapshin has commented on the news of the death of Armenian hero and Major General Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, expressing his sorrow at the general's passing.
"It is a sad day. Today, the legendary Armenian general Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan has passed away, who, by the irony of fate, led the assault on the city of Shushi in Nagorno-Karabakh. I imagine what he must have felt living until that day when the city would surrender to the enemy without a fight.
I had the fortune of knowing Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan; we met literally just last week at an event commemorating the fallen of the recent Karabakh war. We were sitting together at the table, as seen in the video at 2:05 (2 minutes 5 seconds). Afterward, we visited another soldier together and interacted there. Arkadi appeared quite tired. However, I could not have imagined that that amateur video taken on my phone would become the last one," wrote Lapshin.
It is worth noting that Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, known as Commandos, passed away at the age of 81.
