Hakob Arshakyan Resigns

Yerevan.Today has learned that late last night, the Minister of High Technology Industry, Hakob Arshakyan, submitted his resignation. According to our sources, this is the second written resignation he has submitted in a month, which has been placed on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's desk. In the previous instance, Pashinyan and Suren Papikyan managed to convince the Minister to retract his decision; however, last night at 11:00 PM, according to our source, the resignation was signed by the Prime Minister.

Moreover, disappointing our compatriots, we must inform you that the reason for Hakob Arshakyan's resignation is neither the disgraceful incident of attending the DEX-2021 military-industrial exhibition in Abu Dhabi with brochures instead of weapons, nor the controversial incident involving journalist Paylak Fahradyan at a restaurant. In fact, there are indications of political motivations behind this resignation. Arshakyan appears to be disillusioned, and this is seen as an escape from political responsibility within the team.

It becomes evident that on the threshold of elections, not only is Pashinyan's closest party member leaving, but also a member of the Civil Contract party's board, signaling clear cracks in the ruling hierarchy and the party. It should be noted that Hakob Arshakyan is one of Nikol Pashinyan's most trusted associates, following Lilith Makunts and preceding Arsen Torosyan.

Our obtained information indicates that the government clarifies the situation as follows: 'There is currently no information on such a matter, and the personnel department has not received any resignation from Hakob Arshakyan.' We also attempted to reach Hakob Arshakyan, but our calls went unanswered.
