Water Infrastructure of 6.2 km to be Improved in Armavir
The improvement of inter-farm irrigation systems in the communities of the Armavir region continues. In a post on his Facebook page, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan noted that a 1.5 km inter-farm canal will be restored in Ervandashat, increasing the irrigated land by 65 hectares.
In Talvorik, approximately 2.4 km of the inter-farm canal will be restored, also increasing the irrigated land by 65 hectares. In Myasnikyan, an additional 55 hectares of irrigation will be made possible with the restoration of about 2.3 km of the inter-farm canal.
Overall, a total of 6.2 km of water infrastructure will be improved in these communities, resulting in an increase of about 185 hectares of irrigable land. There will be a significant reduction in water loss for irrigation across all communities, which previously reached as high as 60%. Operating costs will also decrease.
