The State Has Not Paid 50% of the Gas Fee for Border Residents, Says MP
The state has not fulfilled its commitment regarding the gas fees used by residents of border communities, wrote MP Sargis Aleksanyan from the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction on his Facebook page, noting that the government is required by law to pay 50% of the gas fees consumed by these residents.
“In border communities, the government is required by law to pay half of the gas fees consumed by residents up to a specified amount. For the month of January, the state did not fulfill its commitment, and the residents covered the entire fee for that month. I have addressed the Prime Minister on this issue, proposing that the state make the unpaid payments for January in the upcoming months, thereby alleviating a small part of the already significant burdens on border residents,” the MP wrote.
