Teen Travels from Yerevan to Gyumri and Kills User Who Offended Him
On March 27, a murder occurred in Gyumri. It all began when two users met and interacted through social media, discussing various issues. One day, an unpleasant conversation led to murder. According to the Armenian police, one of the users figured out where the other lived, invited him outside, and stabbed him right at the entrance.
This was only revealed later. Prior to that, around 4 PM, a report was received at the Kumayri police station from an ambulance service that a male body had been discovered on the stairs of a building on Yerevanian Highway in Gyumri, with a stab wound to the chest.
The operative group that arrived at the scene identified the deceased as a 25-year-old resident of the same building. A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident. As a result of joint efforts by detectives from the Main Department of Criminal Police, the Shirak Regional Department, and the Mush Police Division, as well as adequate evidence collected during the preliminary investigation, it was established that the crime had been committed by a 17-year-old resident of Yerevan.
After explanatory work, he turned himself into the Kumayri police station on March 29 and confessed to the act. The 17-year-old has been presented to the Shirak Regional Investigative Department. The circumstances of the case are under investigation. The preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal case continues.
