Relations Between Ararat Mirzoyan and Pashinyan Have Frozen

As the dates for parliamentary elections approach, the unity within the government is weakening. According to information from the newspaper "Joghovurd," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is currently trying to surround himself exclusively with loyalists, accompanied by chosen individuals. The electoral list has been significantly narrowed, with many current deputies not being included in the lineup.

Many will bid farewell to parliament permanently, possibly left unemployed, while some may hold lower-ranking positions in the executive branch. The party elite has already begun searching for heads of headquarters among neighborhoods and communities. Even individuals who were previously ignored, marginalized, or faced criminal charges initiated against them in the past months are now being called by government officials.

In Pashinyan's inner circle, it is noted that the relationship between the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Pashinyan has noticeably cooled, and it is unclear whether Mirzoyan's classmates and friends will be so prominently featured in the ruling party's electoral list this time. They too will face challenges regarding their future shortly.
