Police Conduct 'Sea Monster' Operation in Jrvazh, Georgian Thieves Detained

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on March 26, the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Arabkir Police, led by department head Armen Vatyan, carried out a special operation named 'The Adventures of the Italian Sea Monster at the 'Miracle' Hotel Complex in Jrvazh.'

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that as a result of the operation, two citizens from the Republic of Georgia, 32-year-old Saba Sichinava and 44-year-old Revaz Tatulashvili, were detained by the police from one of the hotel rooms at the 'Miracle' hotel complex in Jrvazh.

On March 26, Ani H., a 39-year-old resident of one of the buildings on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan, reported to the Arabkir Police that her apartment door had been opened with a master key and a large sum of money and gold jewelry had been stolen from her home.

The victim informed the police and investigators that approximately $23,000, 2 million AMD, 70,000 Russian rubles, and about $5,000 worth of gold jewelry had been taken from her apartment. She also indicated that she suspected one of her acquaintances of the theft.

The police and investigators worked not only to clarify the information provided by the victim. Shortly thereafter, through operational measures carried out by A. Vatyan, the identities of the alleged suspects were confirmed, and having ensured the authenticity of the information, the Arabkir police took action, leading to the suspects being found at the 'Miracle' hotel complex along with part of the stolen goods, including money and gold jewelry.

According to the photographer, S. Sichinava had previously been convicted in Italy for theft and in Georgia for robbery. By the decision of H. Petrosyan, they were arrested and transferred to the detention center of the Yerevan city police department. G. Shamshyan reports that tomorrow, the investigative body will apply to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction to request a two-month pretrial detention order against them.
