Has the Map of Landmined Areas in Artsakh Been Transferred to Turkish Special Services? Criminal Case Accepted for Consideration
Today, on March 30, the Artsakh Investigative Committee has accepted for consideration a criminal case initiated under Article 310, Part 1 and Article 316 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh. This follows reports published by media outlets on March 11 regarding the transfer of a map of landmined areas in Artsakh to Turkish special services by the organization The Halo Trust during its operations in the region.
The map allegedly allowed for the unimpeded movement through landmined territories during the 44-day war. The Artsakh Investigative Committee has announced that necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
