Latvian Referees to Officiate Armenia-Romania Match

The third round of the qualification phase for the World Cup will see a match between Armenia and Romania, which will be officiated by Latvian referees. This information was provided by the Armenian Football Federation (FFA).

On March 31, the match will take place at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium as part of the Group J qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. The officiating team will be led by Andris Treimanis, with Haralds Gudermanis and Alexei Spasjonikovs assisting him. The fourth official is Vitalis Spasjonikovs, and the referee observer is Vitor Pereira from Portugal, with Svitlana Shkil from Ukraine serving as the delegate.

Armenia's national team is among the frontrunners in Group J of the World Cup qualification phase. After the second round, both the Armenian and German national teams have recorded two victories, securing six points each. North Macedonia and Romania share the third and fourth places with three points each, while Iceland and Liechtenstein have yet to earn any points. On March 31, Armenia will compete against Romania, Liechtenstein will face Iceland, and Germany will go up against North Macedonia.
