It Is Recommended to Travel Exclusively on Winter Tires: Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The roads are closed from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to the Kari Lake.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for cargo trucks with trailers.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. There are approximately 490 stranded cargo trucks on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
