Turkey's 3rd Prototype of Akıncı Combat Drone Successfully Completes First Flight
The third prototype of the "Akıncı" (Akinci) heavy-class combat drone developed by Baykar Makina has successfully completed its first flight in Turkey. This was announced by the company's technical director Selçuk Bayraktar, who is also the son-in-law of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to Bayraktar, the aerial testing of the third prototype of the Akıncı drone has been successful. The testing of the Akıncı began in December 2019, as reported by ermenihaber.
It is planned to enhance the Turkish military's air force with six units of the Akıncı combat drones by the end of the year.
