So far, the remains of 1523 deceased individuals have been discovered

From March 22 to 28, 2021, the Crisis Management Center of the State Emergency Service registered 728 reports. The number of calls decreased by 211 compared to the previous week.

During the past week, there was also a decrease in fire incidents, with 8 reports registered. Among these, one occurred in an auxiliary building, three in landfills, and four in dry grass areas. Experience has shown that with the increase in air temperature, mainly due to citizens' negligence, there are also more incidents of fire outbreaks in open areas and forest zones.

Last week, the director of the service, Colonel Mekhak Arzumanyan, welcomed a delegation led by Major General Vladislav Gadev, senior of the collective group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. An operational group of three has been created between the partner structures, which will be involved in engineering reconnaissance-sapper activities, humanitarian mission programs, and security-related on-duty services. The start of the joint work was given today.

Throughout the week, the sapper units of the Emergency Service continued the process of discovering and either storing or neutralizing weapons and ammunition in Stepanakert and nearby territories, as well as in the regions of Martakert and Martuni. During the seven-day period, 96 cluster munitions, 168 artillery shells, 10 grenades for grenade launchers, 1 anti-personnel mine, 1800 small caliber bullets, 228 artillery fuses, and 16 hand grenades were discovered.

One emergency incident was registered; during agricultural work in Martakert, a citizen was injured when a tractor exploded on a mine. The agricultural equipment was damaged; fortunately, there is no threat to his life.

During the week, by the order of Minister of Internal Affairs Karen Sargsyan and under the directive of the service leader, training exercises and drills have resumed in all divisions of the State Emergency Service. The rescue teams of the special rapid response unit continue to search for the remains of deceased servicemen and civilians in areas outside the control of Artsakh. To date, the remains of 1523 individuals have been discovered.
