National Security Service Denies Reports on Armen Abazyan's Resignation

The National Security Service of Armenia has denied media reports regarding the resignation of its director, Armen Abazyan. In a conversation with Armenpress, the press center of the National Security Service stated, “The rumors about the change of the NSS director do not correspond to reality.”

According to Article 4.1, Clause 1 of the Law on National Security Bodies of Armenia, the direct management of the authorized body is conducted by the director of the National Security Service, who is appointed and dismissed by the President of the Republic upon the proposal of the Prime Minister.
