Containers Will Soon Be Provided at Gas Stations for Citizens to Check Fuel Quantity

The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition is investigating issues related to gasoline prices and the batches imported into Armenia at gas stations. This was stated today, March 29, during a press briefing by the Chairman of the Commission, Gegham Gevorgyan.

“I can immediately say that we are not conducting any functions related to gasoline quality, but we have met with our colleagues from the inspection body, and if they conduct a laboratory analysis and find that, for example, the 92 and 93 octane gasoline does not correspond to reality, we will begin to apply the provisions of unfair competition,” Gevorgyan noted, adding that containers will soon be provided at gas stations so that citizens can check the quantity of gasoline if they have doubts.

The Chairman emphasized that a significant increase in gasoline prices is observed in the global market.
