Fire at Silikyan Neighborhood Plastic Factory Extinguished; Raw Materials Burned
The fire that broke out at a plastic production facility in the Silikyan neighborhood of Yerevan has been extinguished. According to preliminary data, raw materials and components intended for plastic production burned in a 600 square meter storage area.
The emergency call regarding the fire was received by the National Crisis Management Center on March 27 at 11:14 AM. Four firefighting units from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene of the incident with a complexity rating of 'BIS 1'. Also sent were operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center and the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division.
A fire complexity rating of 'Type 2' was declared, with additional firefighting units, a gas protection service vehicle, and a medical support team being sent to the scene. The fire was contained by 1:23 PM and fully extinguished by 2:16 PM.
