Cluster Munitions Fired from 'Smerch' Discovered in Khndzristan Community

The State Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh reports that cluster munitions fired from the Smerch multiple launch rocket system and other unidentified munitions have been discovered in the Khndzristan community of the Askeran region.

A demining team from the State Emergency Service has been dispatched to the scene. There is a possibility that the discovered ordnance will be neutralized on-site.

“In case of hearing explosion sounds, the service urges the public not to panic. Additionally, we request that anyone who discovers any unknown objects, even if they are confident it poses no danger, immediately call the Emergency Situations Service at the 911 hotline,” the statement from the Artsakh State Emergency Service reads.
