What Azerbaijan is doing today is a manifestation of satanic politics: David Babayan
What happened in Jabrayil is barbarism; Aliyev is also violating the principles of the Quran, stated Davit Babayan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, in an interview with "Factinfo." We note that it became known today that the Surb Astvatsayin Church, located in Jabrayil which has come under Azerbaijani control, has gone missing.
“When we talk about Jabrayil, we must consider that this area has biblical significance. And the name of the place testifies to that. Why is it called Jabrayil? According to ancient tradition, Jabrayil is the place where people have seen the archangel Gabriel several times, and a settlement was established there, named after the archangel. Jabrayil is Gabriel,” highlighted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, while emphasizing that the location of the church was not chosen randomly.
Davit Babayan stressed that what Azerbaijan is doing today is a manifestation of satanic politics. “It strikes both Christianity and the Armenian people, as well as Islam itself. That is to say, the international community should take these steps very seriously. Aliyev is grossly violating the principles of the Quran, as it is not written there that Christian or any religious worship should be destroyed. This is yet another anti-Armenian, anti-religious step; it is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,” Babayan stated.
In response to "Factinfo" noting that after the war, Azerbaijani figures continue to make warlike statements, openly revealing their aspirations toward Armenian territories, for example, Azerbaijani political figure and journalist Tural Abasli shared a photo with the caption: “Let us celebrate the next Bayram in Zangezur,” the Minister said, “It sometimes seems strange to me not the actions of Azerbaijan, but the questions raised by those actions. Do we not know why Azerbaijan is doing this? The goal of Azerbaijan and Turkey is to destroy the Armenian statehood. And today their target is Syunik, and tomorrow it will be Yerevan. They have not abandoned any of this, and we must understand all of this. Otherwise, we should not praise Aliyev’s smile by comparing it to the Mona Lisa,” Babayan noted.
