Azerbaijan Calls Armenian-Iraqi Agreement Treason

On March 24, a delegation led by Jumaa Inad Saadoun Khattabi, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Iraq, arrived in Armenia on an official visit. A document was signed that also aims to prepare and sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of defense between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Iraq.

As reported by Infoteka24, Azerbaijan hastened to employ a religious angle, emphasizing that a Muslim country has signed an agreement with Armenia in the defense sector.

“Let us remind our Azerbaijani colleagues that Iraq has long been engaged in a struggle against Islamist militants, while Azerbaijan has been hiring them to participate in the war against Artsakh and paying them. Additionally, 'big brother' Turkey continues to finance them. Furthermore, Turkey has unlawfully deployed its forces into Iraqi territory without Baghdad's consent. This raises the question: who is the traitor?” concludes the article.
