Arthur Davtyan Discusses Efforts to Repatriate Armenian Prisoners with Sergey Kopirkin
The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.
During the meeting, issues related to legal assistance between the two allied countries were discussed, as well as the deepening of relations in the field of criminal law and the implementation of planned joint measures aimed at exchanging expertise. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed.
The possibility of repatriating Armenian servicemen and civilians currently held in Azerbaijan was also discussed, along with the ongoing efforts in that direction. The Prosecutor General thanked the Russian side, particularly the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, for the active steps taken in this regard, noting the continuation of the process through daily communications.
As previously reported, during his working visit to Moscow in January of this year, Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan invited his Russian counterpart, Igor Krasnov, to visit Armenia. The invitation was accepted, and a visit by a delegation led by the Russian Prosecutor General is planned for April.
In this context, Arthur Davtyan and Ambassador Kopirkin also discussed issues related to the agenda of the upcoming visit and organizational matters.
