Up to 300 Cases of Coronavirus Reinfection in Armenia Subject to Detailed Analysis, Minister Says
Up to 300 cases of coronavirus reinfection exist in Armenia, which are subject to detailed analysis, said Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a question-and-answer session at the National Assembly. She noted that certain criteria must be met for these cases to be considered reinfections.
“The results of the study will be published soon,” the minister added.
Avanesyan also stated that the government has currently allocated sufficient financial resources for the vaccination process. She informed that there is a preliminary agreement and a signed contract for the acquisition of vaccines, with bilateral agreements in place with Russia.
“At this moment, we are only vaccinating healthcare workers and high-risk citizens with state funds,” she noted.
According to Avanesyan, around 600 people have already been vaccinated.
