Petrosyan: I Might Not Participate in Elections at All, Might Withdraw from Politics
Independent MP Gevorg Petrosyan may withdraw from politics altogether. In a conversation with journalists, the MP mentioned that he finds the current environment unpleasant.
"I might not participate in the elections at all, I might withdraw from politics. I don’t like any of this. Neither the opposition is taking proper steps, nor the government is able to lead the country. We end up being in a bad situation, constantly talking, criticizing. This environment is unpleasant for me. I don’t come to the National Assembly with pleasure, but since you have a past, you regret what you’ve done; otherwise, I would gladly withdraw from politics right now. There is no politics here, only personal and corporate interests," he noted.
When asked if he would accept an offer to participate in the elections on the list of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Petrosyan responded negatively.
