I Receive Daily Reports on What Is Happening at Lars, and Indeed, There Is a Problem: Minister

At the Lars checkpoint, trucks are standing still; however, the problem is mainly related to weather conditions, and the state is addressing this issue. This was stated by Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan during a Q&A session with government members in the National Assembly, responding to a comment from Hrant Ayvazyan of the Bright Armenia faction.

According to the MP, trucks have been stuck at the Lars checkpoint for more than 20 days, and the problem is not related to weather conditions. "I receive daily reports on what is happening at Lars. And indeed, there is a problem. But I am assured that this issue is mainly related to the weather conditions; it is indeed very bad. Not only Armenian vehicles are stuck, but also others—Georgian, Turkish, and others," the minister said.

He assured that the Ministry of Economy and the State Revenue Committee, which has a representative in Lars, are actively working on the issue, including communicating with entrepreneurs. Kerobyan expressed hope that the matter will be resolved in the near future.

"We need to ensure that vehicles do not stand on either side of the border. We are doing everything possible to resolve this issue. We are currently developing a plan to have alternative routes next year, allowing us to bypass weather conditions altogether," the minister concluded.
